In the fall of 2005, the Cleveland State University Library partnered with Cleveland Public Library to provide popular reading materials to the campus community to promote leisure reading and encourage our students to develop strong ties to the public library system after graduation. CPL@CSU is the result! Find out more by reading the FAQ below:

  • Where is this collection located?
  • What types of materials are in the collection?
  • How do I check out materials?
    • Materials may be checked out with a Greater Access Card at the self check-out machine located near the Lounge. If you do not have a Greater Access Card, you may sign-up for one at the User Services Center in the Library.
  • How long can I check out the materials and can I renew them?
    • All the materials in the collection can be checked out for 21 days and can be renewed up to 3 times. You can renew your books online at the CPL website using the library card number on your Greater Access Card.
  • Can I suggest a title or genre of books for the collection?
    • We would love to know what materials you would be interested in having in the collection. Send us your suggestions online with our CPL@CSU Feedback form. We cannot guarantee all items will be added.
  • Can I be notified when new materials arrive in the collection?
  • What is the CPL@CSU RSS feed and how can I subscribe to it?
    • The CPL@CSU RSS feed provides frequently updated links to news and lists of newly-received titles using RSS (“Really Simple Syndication”). To receive an RSS feed, you will need an RSS reader or aggregator (some popular examples are Google Reader, My Yahoo, and Bloglines), or a web browser with built-in RSS support like Internet Explorer 7 or Mozilla Firefox 2.

      To subscribe to the CPL@CSU RSS feed, click the RSS link below, copy and paste the URL to the RSS reader of your choice, and choose the “Subscribe” option. You can also subscribe to the feed using the Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) web browser: using IE7, click the RSS link below, then click “Subscribe to this feed”. Once you have subscribed, you can check for updated messages at any time by clicking the yellow star icon (“Favorites Center”), the “Feeds” button, and the “CPL@CSU feed”.
