ACADEMIC MASTER PLAN 3/30/66 Accepted recommendations relating to academic organization of CSU. 8/11/66 Resolved that CSU should cooperate with Cuyahoga Community College in a joint study aimed at developing recommendations by which the two institutions could be coordinated in order to avoid unnecessary duplications of programs and facilities and to accomplish the objective of serving their respective students with quality educational opportunities. 2/3/67 Approved the Joint Statement of Policy & Agenda for Action with CCC. 3/22/67 Approved table of organization and recruitment 10/18/70 (70-61) Adopted the "Academic Goals & Considerations for CSU" as the current policy, to be reviewed annually 9/14/76 (76-54) Endorsed "Decade Two: An Academic Master Plan for CSU, 1976-1985". 6/18/79 (79-47) Directed the President to undertake a review of goals and objectives for the 1980-1985 period, to prepare planning alternatives, and upon completion, to present such planning alternatives to the Trustees. 4/30/80 (80-19) Received "The Next Five Years", a five-year plan formulated by the Board's instruction and prepared under the President's direction. Accepted the first five recommendations. Instructed the President to work towards fulfilling the remaining recommendations. 6/17/81 (81-38) Received "The Five Year Plan - 1981 Update" and reaffirmed the general goals originally approved by the Trustees for CSU on 9/14/76. 3/10/82 (82-16) Re-affirmed CSU's commitment to program review and affirmed its compliance with Am. Sub. Ohio H.B. 694. 6/29/82 (82-42) Received 1982 update of the Five Year Plan and re-affirmed the general goals for CSU. 6/29/83 Five Year Plan 1983 Update presented to the Board. 11/23/83 "The Cutting Edge": a report by Provost John Flower on CSU's academic programs. 5/15/91 (91-52) "Cleveland State University and the Decade of the 90's: A Plan for the 21st Century" accepted and endorsed.
