A view of the entrance to Multimedia Services

Located in RT 301, Multimedia Services houses the Library's video and audio collection. Faculty members can place their own or their departments's media materials on reserve here for their courses, as Multimedia services provides equipment that students can use to review most types of media.

Students who need to watch a video, listen to music or other audio materials for a class, practice their presentation skills, evaluate instructional CD-ROMs, review foreign language materials, or use the English as a Second Language (ESL) Resource Center can do so in Multimedia Services.

Multimedia Services also produces and administers media-based tests, provides audio-duplication facilities and houses the curriculum materials and juvenile collections for use by students in the College of Education.

Several areas are available for group or class use, including the two open class meeting areas, a language learning console room, and the Library's state-of-the-art film and video Viewing Room.

The Multimedia Lab provides members of the CSU community with equipment to create multimedia material. Internet access, applications such as Microsoft Office (with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and multimedia production devices, such as scanners, and programs including image creation and video and audio editing software, enable students and faculty to included effective resources in their classroom presentations and projects.
