Duplicating Audio Materials

  1. Individuals who duplicate audio materials assume the liability for any claims of infringement made by any individual or entity arising out of the duplication or use of those materials.

  2. No materials will be duplicated by Cleveland State University Library staff or student assistants. Patrons are responsible for making their own copies in accordance with copyright regulations. Staff are allowed to assist patrons with equipment, but not to make copies. Handicapped students should make arrangements with Handicapped Services to assist with their needs.

  3. The following announcement will be posted with duplication equipment:

WARNING: Duplicated audio material is NOT to be used for any purpose other than for private study, scholarship, or research. These restrictions are required by the Copyright Act of 1976. Cleveland State University takes NO responsibility for any damage to a patron’s materials during duplication. Patrons must provide their own blank audio cassettes.
