IMSS currently supports 80+ Technology Enhanced Classrooms throughout campus with several more planned for 2006. The majority of these rooms are typically considered to be “General Purpose Teaching Classrooms.”
These classrooms offer many basic technologies an instructor might want. Almost all rooms have a projector and screen; some rooms are also equipped with a VHS Player, DVD, amp and speakers, document camera, internet connectivity, wireless or both. By having most of the equipment that the faculty uses on a regular basis in a classroom on campus, instructors are able to use the technology to enhance their subject matter. We believe in standardization across campus for learning technology. New technology upgrades for the classrooms have started in the main classroom building, Fenn Tower, and the College of Business.
The new TEC standard model will start to set standards for every TEC classroom on the main CSU campus form this point forward.
